Rohit's savings $= R s . 2500$ per month
A ratio says how much of one thing there is compared to another thing.
Ratio of his savings to his salary $= \frac{S a v i n g s}{s a l a r y}$
$= \frac{2500}{12500}$
$= \frac{\overset{1}{2500}}{\underset{5}{12500}}$
$= \frac{1}{5}$
$∴ S a v i n g s : s a l a r y = 1 : 5$
Hence, the ratio of his savings to his salary is $1 : 5 .$
