The iris and lens divide the interior of the eyeball into two main chambers. The anterior one is present between the cornea and the lens and is called aqueous chamber. Hence, aqueous chamber is the space between the cornea and the lens. Aqueous chamber is filled with a thin watery fluid called the aqueous humor. This aqueous humor is finally drained into the blood. The posterior chamber is present between the lens and the retina and is called as vitreous chamber. Hence, vitreous humor is the space between the lens and the retina. Vitreous chamber is filled with a transparent semi-solid gelatinous material called the vitreous humor. This is not drained out of the eye. Its function is to support the eyeball.
