Pigment produced is Bilirubin, a brownish yellow pigment of bile.
Role: It gives to solid waste products (feces) their characteristic colour.
Production: It is produced in bone marrow cells and in the liver as the end product of red-blood-cell (hemoglobin) breakdown.
