Good tomatoes in Basket 1 = 5460

Good tomatoes in Basket 2 = 3240

Fraction of total good tomatoes = 5460 + 3240

The two fractions are unlike fractions. To add unlike fractions, we have to convert them into like fractions.
Let's find their LCM.
LCM(60, 40) = 120

5460 × 22 = 108120

3240 × 33 = 96120

Now that they both have the same denominator, we can add them.
108120 + 96120

= 108+96120

= 204120

Converting the fraction into its simplest form:

204120 = 5130

Hence, Ron has 5130 good apples.
