Solution

The correct option is D Carrot
There are 2 types of root systems- taproot and fibrous root system. The tap root system consists of a single main root from which lateral branches of smaller roots emerge. This root system grows deep inside the soil. Taproot is found in carrot and beetroot.
On the other hand, the fibrous root system consists of multiple branches of roots of similar size. These arise from the base of the stem and remain closer to the surface of the soil. Fibrous roots are found in wheat, rice and corn.
