The amount given by Roshan's mother
= (6x2y+6x)
The amount given by Roshan's father
= 6(x2y+2x+2).
Total amount
= (6x2y+6x)+ (6(x2y+2x+2)
=(12x2y+18x+12)
Total amount Roshan spent
= (3x2y+3x+3)
Amount of money left
=(12x2y+18x+12) (3x2y+3x+3)
= (9x2y+15x+9).
Substituting the value of x = 1 and y = 2 in the above expression,
Amount of money left with Roshan =9(1)2(2)+15(1)+9
= 18 + 15 + 9 = ​​​​​​​ ₹ 42.
