Round latex caps with coil springs fitted deep in the vagina on the mouth of the uterus. Which barrier method is being described here?
Diaphragms
Diaphragms are round latex caps with coil springs. These caps are fitted deep in the vagina, on the mouth of the cervix. A diaphragm keeps sperm from entering the uterus by covering the cervix. For added protection, spermicide is put into the bowl of the diaphragm and along its edges before it's inserted.
