Open in App
Solution

Rounding off to the nearest tens

First, check the ones place digit of the given number.

Here, the ones place digit of 13 is 3

According to the rounding off to nearest ten rule,

  • If ones place digit is less than 5, replace the ones digit by 0 and keep other digits same.
  • If ones place digit is equal to or greater than 5, replace the ones digit by 0 and increase the tens digit by 1 keeping other digits same.

Since, 3<5, the ones digit is replaced by 0 and tens digit will remain same.

So, 13 rounded off to the nearest tens is 10.

Hence, 13 rounded off to the nearest tens is 10.
