$Rs.5625$ are divided among $A,B$ and $C$ so that $A$ received half as much as $B$ and $C$ together and $B$ received one fourth as much as $A$ and $C$ together. Find the sum of $A^{\prime }s$ and $B^{\prime }s$ share together.

The correct option is B $Rs.3000$

∵ A = $\frac{B+C}{2}$
B + C = 2 A
A + B + C = 3A
Thus 3A = 5625
A = Rs. 1875

Again B = $\frac{A+C}{4}$
⇒ A + C = 4B
⇒ A + B + C = 5B
∴ 5B = 5625
∴ B = Rs. 1125

Thus A's and B's share together = (1875 + 1125) = Rs. 3000
