• The Right to Education
  • The Right to Education Act (RTE) was enacted on 4 August 2009. This Act states that the state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children between 6 and 14.
  • To ensure that this law works effectively, the state must provide sufficient schools in all children's neighbourhoods, appoint qualified teachers, and make all other necessary provisions.
  • Additionally, education should promote the overall development of children through activities, discovery, and child-friendly exploration.
  • In addition, children should be taught in their mother tongue, be free from fear, trauma, and anxiety, and be able to express themselves freely.
  • Courts can be approached when there are no free schools in the neighbourhood, if there aren't enough teachers, or if a child is terrorised or forced to study violently. Thus, it is a boon for children.
