Solution

r=[A]m[B]n[C]p m,n,p are the order of [a],[b],[c] respectively.

From equation (1) and (2), r2r1=[A]m[B]n[2C]p[A]m[B]n[C]p(2)1=(2)p

So, p=1 (first order w.r.t [C])

From equation (1) and (3), r3r1=(2)m1=2n20=2n

So, n=0 (zero order w.r.t [B])

From equation (1) and (4), r4r1=(2)m4=2n22=2n

So, m=2, (second order w.r.t [A])
(i) Order of the reaction is 2+0+1=3

(ii) Rate constant, K=r[A]2[B]0[C]1=2×104(0.2)2×1×0.2=140=0.025

(iii) Rate=K[A]2[B]0[C]1

=0.025×(0.1)2×(0.1)0×(0.1)1

=2.5×105
