Sachin bought two hockey sticks for Rs.560 and Rs.240 respectively. He sells the first stick at a gain of 15% and the second one at a loss of 5%. Find his gain or loss per cent on the whole transaction ?

CP of 1st Hockey stick=560
SP of 1st hockey stick=560+15% of 560
=>644
CP of 2nd Hockey=240
SP of 2nd Hockey=2405% of 240
=>228
Now,
Total CP=>560+240=800
Total SP=>644+228=872
Here,SP>CP
Therefore,Sachin gains in the whole transaction.
Gain=SP-CP
=>872800
=>72
Gain%=72800×100
=>9%
