Let investment in 12% stock be ₹ x

Then, investment in 15% stock = ₹ 12000x.

Income on one share of 12 % stock at ₹ 120 = 12120

Income on ₹ x shares = 12120× x

Income on one share of 15% stock at ₹ 125 = 15125

Income on ₹ (12000x) = 12120× (12000x)

Given that total income is ₹ 1360

12120x+15125(12000x)=1360

x10+325(12000x)=1360

5x+720006x=1360×50

x=4000
