The correct option is B 2, 10
Let the age of Sima be x years.
So, the age of Salma will be 5x years.

According to the question, we have,
Sum of ages of both the girls = 12
5x + x = 12
6x = 12

If x = 1, $6 x = 6 \times 1 = 6 \neq 12$
If x = 2, $6 x = 6 \times 2 = 12$
The value of x = 2 holds good for the equation.
Therefore, Sima’s age is 2 years.
And, Salma’s age = 5x = 5 $\times$ 2 = 10 years
