Question

Saloni invest 60% of her money at the rate of 18% per annum for 4years. The remaining sum was invested at 14% per annum for 5 years. Find the sum of money she invested each time, if the difference between the simple interests earned is Rs.1520.

Let sum of money=x
money invested at 18% is 60% of x
6x10
Interest=PRT100=6x10×18×4100
=6×18×4x1000=432x1000
Remaining sum=4x10
Interest=PRT100=4x10×14×5100
=(4×14×5)100x=280x1000
Difference of interest=1520
432x280x1000=1520
152x=1520000
x=10000Rs.
