Solution

The correct option is A [Cu+2]=8.825×108, [Pb+2]=7.119×108
Let solubility of Cu3(AsO4)2 and Pb3(AsO4)2 be x and y respectively.
Cu3(AsO4)23Cu+2+2AsO34Ksp=8×1036
3x 2x+2y
Pb3(AsO4)23Pb+2+2AsO34Ksp=4.096×1036
3y 2y+2x
108x3(x+y)2=8×1036........(i)
108y3(x+y)2=4.096×1036.....(ii)
Dividing (i) by (ii), we get
(i)(ii) x3y3=84.096
x=1.25y
Putting this in equation (ii), we get
108y3(2.25y)2=4.096×1036
y=2.3×108 x=1.25 y=2.875×108
[Cu+2]=3x=8.825×108
[Pb+2]=3y=7.1×108
