Sam divided his pizza into 8 equal parts and ate 5 of the peices.
Ratio of Sam's pizza remaining to the whole size =3:8
While Jack divided it into 5 equal parts and ate 3 of the peices
Ratio of Jack's pizza remaining to the whole size =2:5
Now, to compare which ratio is larger.
Using cross - multiplication method.
We get 5×3=15 and 2×8=16
25 is larger than 38
Hence, Jack consumed less amount of pizza than Sam.
