The correct option is D 54 kms
Let the total time Sam rode by bus is x hrs.
The distance covered by the bus = 45×x kms.
So, sam should be covering 45×x kms by foot in (12−x) hours.
And, the distance covered by Sam by walking = 5(12−x) hours
⇒5(12−x)=45×x
⇒60−5x=45x
x=65
∴ the total distance travelled by bus = (45×65)=54 kms
