Sam wants to send a gift to his friend. He places it inside a box of length 25 cm, width 15 cm, and height 10 cm. How much wrapping paper does he require to wrap the box?

Given:
Length of the box = 25 cm
Width of the box = 15 cm
​ Height of the box = 10 cm

To wrap the gift, we need to cover all the 6 faces of the box. Thus, we have to find total surface area of the box.

Total surface area of the box is given by:

TSA=2(lw+wh+lh)
=2×(25×15+15×10+10×25)=2×(375+150+250)=2×775=1550 cm2

Sam needs 1550 cm2 of wrapping paper.
