The number of days Sam worked =60÷24=2.5 days
(1 day=24 hours)

The money Sam earns per day =$20.5

A total money earned by Sam in 2.5 days =$20.5×2.5

Steps to solve 20.5×2.5
Step 1: Count the number of digits after decimal point for both the numbers and add them.i.e 1+1=2

Step 2: Ignore a decimal point and perform the multiplication, as you would with whole numbers as follows

Step 3: Now place a decimal point back.
20.5 and 2.5 has 3 digits after decimal in total. So, move the decimal point 2 places to the left in the product

Hence, Sam will earn $51.25
