Part of watermelon eaten by Sana = $\frac{5}{10}$
Part of watermelon eaten by Emily = $\frac{3}{10}$
Total part of watermelon eaten by both of them = $\frac{5}{10}$ + $\frac{3}{10}$

= $\frac{5 + 3}{10}$

= $\frac{8}{10}$

We can convert $\frac{8}{10}$ into its Simplest form:
