Question

Sandeep bought a bicycle for Rs2351 and spent Rs249 on accessories. After 6 months he sold it for Rs2470. Find profit per cent or loss percent received by Sandeep ?

Solution

C.P. = Rs2351

Spent on accessories = Rs249

EffectiveC.P.=C.P.+Spentonaccessories=2351+249=2600Rs

S.P. = Rs2470

Here , C.P.>S.P.

Loss=C.P.-S.P.=2600-2470=130Rs

Now,

Loss%=LossEffectiveC.P.×100=1302600×100=5%

Therefore, 5% will be the loss percent received by Sandeep.
