The movement of Sanjay from A to E are as shown in figure.
Now, $AF=(AB-FB)$
$=(AB-DC)=(70-10)m=60m$
$EF=(DE-DF)=(DE-BC)$
$=(90-10)m=80m$.
Required distance = $AE=\sqrt{{AF}^2+{EF}^2}=\sqrt{{\left(60\right)}^2+{\left(80\right)}^2}=100m$
