Sanjeev is 4 times as old as his son. After 16 years he will be twice as old as his son. Find their present ages

Assume sanjeev's current age is x and his son is y years old.
so given that
y=4x .....(1)
and
y+16=2(x+16).........(2)
On solving both the equation we get,
x=8 and y=32
So Sanjeev is currently 32 years old and his son is of 8 years.
