The correct option is A 45
Given,
Speed for 20 km $(V 1) = 40 kmph$ .
Speed for 10 km $(V 2) = 50 kmph$ .

The average of two speeds is $= \frac{V 1 + V 2}{2}$
$= \frac{40 + 50}{2}$ km/hr.
$= 45$ km/hr

This is different from the average speed, where we used to calculate the total distance travelled upon the total time taken.

The average of n speeds is $= \frac{V 1 + V 2 + . . . . . . . + V n}{n}$ .
