Methane is regularly cycled into the planet's atmosphere, as scientist predicts that methane should dissipate, but there should be a steady stream so something could be actively producing it, methane could be coming from tiny's microbes deep below the planet's surface.
Scientist already found some of the essential ingredients for life on Mars, including fixed nitrogen, carbon monoxide( an energy source for some microbes), and there is evidence that salty liquid water is flowing beneath the surface.
