  • A Homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the constituents that make up the mixture are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Heterogeneous mixture:

Seawater:

  • Seawater is a mixture of different salts, and suspended impurities like decayed plants and animals which are dissolved in it.
  • Due to dissolved salts and water only, seawater is classified as a homogeneous mixture.
  • While due to the presence of suspended impurities like decayed plants and animals it is classified as a heterogeneous mixture.
