  1. The regulation and secretion of secretin hormone take place in the duodenum, and it takes care of the secretion of pancreatic juice.
  2. S cells present in the small intestine and neurons in the brain secrete the secretin hormone.
  3. The secretin is produced by the products of fat and protein which are digested.
  4. It allows the bile duct to produce a bicarbonate base which helps in neutralizing the acid.
