When the secretion of hormone is controlled by the factor or other hormones it is called feedback control. The regulation of secretion of thyroxine from the thyroid gland is an example of such back control mechanism. Hypothalamus stimulates pituitary that secretes thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). TSH stimulates thyroid gland secretion that regulates the metabolism. when the concentration of thyroid hormone increases in the blood it inhibits the hypothalamus secretion.
