Solution

The correct option is A

LH

The anterior pituitary gland secretes the luteininzing hormone. Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in the male, induces the interstitial cells of the testes to produce male sex hormones called androgens such as testosterone. In the female, the luteinizing hormone causes ovulation, secretion of the female sex hormone estrogen from the maturing ovarian follicle, and progesterone by the corpus luteum. Thyroxine secreted from the thyroid gland promotes growth of body tissues. MSH secreted by the intermediate lobe of the pituitary gland stimulates synthesis of melanin in the skin.
