Question

Seen the displacement X and time t for a body of mass 2 Kg moving x=t33, where x is in meter and t in sec. Calculate the work done by body in first 2 second.

Open in App
Solution

Given that,

Mass m=2kg

Displacement x=t33

Now, the velocity is

x=t33

On differentiating

v=dxdt

v=d(t33)dt

v=t2

dx=t2dt

Again on differentiating

The acceleration is

a=dvdt

a=d(t2)dt

a=2t

Now, the force is

F=ma

F=2×2t

F=4t

Now, the work is

dW=Fdx

dW=4tdx

dW=4t×t2dt

dW=4t3dt

Now, the work done during t =0 to t= 2 s

So,

dW=204t3dt

W=[t4]20

W=[(2)40]

W=16J

Hence, the work done is 16 J
