The molecules of chlorophyll present inside the chloroplast absorb solar energy. this is then released in the form of photons from them. The energy in the form of ATP and NADPH+, H+ molecule is released as a result of various movements by electrons. These high energy electrons are then transported to the electron transport chain (ETC) through different membrane carriers. Thus solar energy absorbed by chloroplasts is converted into chemical potential energy.
