Solution

The correct option is A Statement 1 is true and Statement 2 is false.
When Guru Nanak Ji stopped for respite at Eminabad, his choice of stay was well thought out. Malik Bhago, the town chief, had invited the Guru to his house and even offered a huge feast to welcome him. But instead, Guruji decided to stay at Bhai Lalo’s house, a poor carpenter, and accepted his hospitality. Guruji refused to stay at Malik Bhago’s house because his income was derived from cheating and deceiving the poor. Lalo on the other hand, earned his money through hard and honest work.
