Solution

The correct option is A

i. 2, ii. - 4, iii. left, iv. right

On a number line, if we are moving towards right then its considered as + and moving towards left is considered as -.
So, moving 4 numbers to the right of -2 means -2 + 4 = 2
Moving 5 numbers to the left of 1 means 1- 5 = - 4
If we are at -8 on the number line and we have to reach -13 then this means -8 +x = -13 where x is the distance to be moved either in left or right direction.
x = -13+8=-5.
we have to move 5 numbers towards left (since -5 has a negative sign) to reach -13.
If we are at -6 on the number line and we have to reach -1 then this means -6 +x = -1 where x is the distance to be moved either in left or right direction.
x = -1+6=5.
we have to move 5 numbers towards right (since 5 has a positive sign) to reach -1.
