Cell division or Cell cycle is the process by which a mature cell divides and form two nearly equal daughter cell that resembles the parent cell and a number of character.

There are different stages of a cell cycle which is the interphase and the mitotic cycle.

Here we have the G₀ stage in which the cells do not divide further and they do not proceed beyond it states and start undergoing differentiation.

Next is the G1 stage which is also known as the postmitotic state. Here the intensive cellular synthesis takes place and synthesis of RNA and DNA ribosome and protein also takes place.
