Solution

The correct option is C Secondary spermatocyte, First polar body, Ovum
Haploid cells have a single set of chromosomes whereas diploid cells have two sets of chromosomes.

Spermatogenesis is a process by which sperms are produced inside the testis.

The spermatogonia (diploid) undergo mitosis and differentiation to form into primary spermatocytes (diploid). The primary spermatocyte undergoes meiosis I and forms secondary spermatocytes (haploid). The secondary spermatocyte
undergoes meiosis II and forms spermatids (haploid).

Oogenesis is the process of formation of mature female gametes (ovum).

In females, the diploid oogonia undergo mitosis and differentiation to produce the diploid primary oocyte. Further the primary oocyte will undergo meiosis I to produce haploid secondary oocyte and first polar body (n). The secondary oocyte divides by meiosis II and forms the haploid ovum and second polar body (n) upon the entry of the sperm.

Hence, option b is correct.
