Solution

The correct option is C
Pineapple Sucker Vegetative Propagation

Vanda is an epiphyte and has epiphytic roots which are modifications of adventitious roots.

Jasmine produces stolons that help in vegetative propagation. Stolons are elongated, horizontal lateral branches developing from the base of the main axis. They grow for some distance like an arch and then touches the ground. The terminal bud of stolon gives rise to new shoot and adventitious roots.

Pineapple produces suckers which are stem modifications that help in vegetative propagation. Suckers are lateral branches that originate from basal portion of main stem and grow horizontally beneath the soil and then come out obliquely upwards to give rise to a new plant.

Nepenthes is a carnivorous (insectivorous) plant in which the leaves are modified into pitchers to trap the insects.

So, correct option is c.
