Basic components of the genetic material are the nucleic acids.
Structurally and nucleoside is a combination of a base or sugar and phosphate group and a nucleoside is nitrogenous base + pentose sugar.
Here we can see that this is a purine which is a nine-member, doubled ringed nitrogenous base and when ribose sugar is added it forms the nucleoside adenosine. Again when adding phosphoric acid it gets converted into adenylic acid which is a nucleoside.
