Solution

The correct option is B The rajas of Pudukkottai, Ettayapuram and Thanjavur stood by the British during the second Palayakkarar war.
Oomathurai and Sevathaiah, brothers of Kattabomman joined the Marudhu brothers in the South Indian Rebellion of 1801. However, the rajas of Pudukkottai, Ettayapuram and Thanjavur stood by the British during this rebellion which ended with the annexation of Sivagangai by Colonel Agnew and Colonel Innes. Oomathurai and Sevathaiah were captured and beheaded at Panchalamkurichi on 16 November, 1801 and the Marudhu brothers were executed at Tirupathur on 4 October, 1801.
