Select the incorrect statement(s).
A siphon works only for water.
A siphon can work in vacuum as well.
A siphon does not require any external force to function.
A siphon is a tube used to transfer a liquid from a reservoir to a container. Generally, it is a U-shaped tube in which on one side the liquid falls under gravity. This creates a lower pressure in the tube and since the liquid in the reservoir is at higher pressure i.e. atmospheric pressure, the liquid flows from the reservoir to the tube. Thus the functioning of a siphon requires both the atmospheric pressure and the gravity. So, it would not work under vacuum. Moreover, it works for all liquids.
