Solution

The correct option is D The Forest Protection Committee or FPC provided technical and financial support to the villagers.
The Behroonguda community decided to organise themselves into a village Forest Protection Committee or FPC to protect their forests from timber smugglers. In 1993, the State Forest Department approached the village to include it in their JFM Programme. The department also provided technical and financial support to the villagers for the protection of the 500 hectares of degraded forest. There was soon a sharp increase in the biological diversity of the forest, including improved production of non-timber forest produce.
