Rhodopsin
Rhodopsin is a pigment whereas, sclera, retina and choroid are the layers of the eye. Rod cells are photoreceptor cells in the retina that contains a pigment called rhodopsin. Sclera is the white outer layer of the eyeball. At the front of the eye, it is continuous with the cornea. Retina is the light-sensitive layer of tissue that lines the inside of the eye and sends visual messages through the optic nerve to the brain. Choroid is the vascular layer of the eye that lies between the retina and the sclera. It contains the retinal pigmented epithelial cells and provides oxygen and nourishment to the outer retina.
