During karyokinesis, there is separation of daughter chromosomes. The daughter chromosomes move to opposite poles and nuclear envelope forms around them and thus two nuclei are formed.

Cytokinesis is the division of cytoplasm resulting in two daughter cells and occurs post karyokinesis.
