Let, cost of $5$ tickets be $x$
Seven tickets for a concert cost $= R s 1050$
As the number of tickets decreases, cost of tickets also decreases in the same ratio. So, it is a case of direct proportion.
We make use of the relation of type $\frac{x_{1}}{x_{2}} = \frac{y_{1}}{y_{2}}$
Here,
$x_{1} = 1050; x_{2} = x; y_{1} = 7; y_{2} = 5$
So,
$\frac{1050}{x} = \frac{7}{5}$
$7 \times x = 1050 \times 5 x = \frac{1050 \times 5}{7} x = \frac{\overset{150}{1050} \times 5}{7} x = 5 \times 150 ∴ x = 750$
