Cost of 1 kg tomato is ₹12 per kg.

Cost of 2$\frac{1}{2}$kg tomato = ₹12 ✖ 2$\frac{1}{2}$

= ₹12 $\times$ 2 + ₹12 $\times$ $\frac{1}{2}$

= ₹24 + ₹6
= ₹30
Cost of 1 kg potato = ₹10
Cost of $\frac{1}{5}kg$ potato = 10 $\times$$\frac{1}{5}$
= ₹2
Price paid by Shalini = ₹30 + ₹2
= ₹32
