The side of the given cube is 2 cm.
To make a cube of side 6 cm, 2 cm cubes are arranged in all three dimensions.
For making the length 6 cm, 3 cubes of 2 cm each are required. Similarly, for the breadth and height of the cube 3 and 3 cubes of 2 cm each respectively.
So, the total number of cubes required is $3 \times 3 \times 3 = 27$
