Given:
$y = 6 x$ (1)
$3 (x + 5) = y$ (2)
Substituting (1) in (2)
$3 (x + 5) = 6 x$
$3 x + 15 = 6 x$
$15 = 3 x$
$x = 5$ (3)
Substituting (3) in (1)
$y = 6 \times 5 = 30$
