Solution

Step 1: Declaring the variables for Shobo & her mother

Let the present age of Shobo be x

Let the age of her mother will be 6x.

Shobo’s age after 5 years =x+5

Step 2: Following the question instructions & rearranging the equation

(x+5)=13×6xx+5=2x

Rearranging the equation and combining like terms we get

2xx=5x=5

Step 3: Finding the age by putting the value of x

Present age of Shobo =x=5years

Present age of Shobo’s mother =6x=30years.

Hence, the present age of Shobo is 5years & Present age of Shobo’s mother 30years.
