(a) Sugar crop - Sugarcane
(b) Plantation crop - Plantation crops constitute a large group of crops. The major plantation crops include coconut, oil palm, tea, coffee and rubber.
(c) Tuber crop - Tubers form at the base of roots, and store energy in the form of starch to support new stem growth for the plant. Examples, potatoes.
(d) Root crop - Carrot is an example of root crop.
(e) Cereal crop - Cereal crops are those which belongs to family Poaceae and mainly grown for their edible starchy seeds. Rice, wheat and barley are the examples of cereal crops.
(f) Fibre crop - Jute and cotton.
