Solution

Four
Mountains are divided into four main types: upwarped, volcanic, fault-block, and folded (complex).
Upwarped mountains form from pressure under the earth's crust pushing upward into a peak.
Volcanic mountains are formed from eruptions of hot magma from the earth's core.
Block Mountains - These are created when large areas are broken and displaced vertically. The Uplifted blocks are known as horsts and the lowered blocks are called graben. The Rhines valley and the Vosges mountains in Europe are examples of such mountain systems
Fold Mountains - The are formed as a result of folding of landmass because of convergence of tectonic plates. The Himalayan Mountains and the Alps are young fold mountains They have rugged relief and high conical peaks. The Aravali range in India is one of the oldest fold mountain systems in the world.
